Labor Market Surveys
- Identify employment opportunities based on direct contact with employers in the individual's geographic area
- Assess the qualifications required, hiring trends, salaries, physical demands, and availability of accommodations for each job
Transferable Skills Analysis
- Identify alternative employment options consistent with the individual's current physical abilities and prior experience and training
- Evaluate earnings potential and job availability in the individual's labor market for identified employment options
Vocational Evaluation
- Identify and assess the individual's vocational interests, background, abilities, strengths, weaknesses, aptitudes, and functional limitations to evaluate the suitability of various vocational options
Accommodation Assistance
- Assess the individual's restrictions and the requirements/demands of the job
- Investigate accommodations and alternatives, including recommendations for equipment, training, and costs
- If requested, phone calls can be made to employer and individual to facilitate a return to work plan with accommodations
Job Placement Services
- Provide guidance and assistance to the individual in his/her efforts to secure gainful employment
- Provide resume development, job seeking skills training, job leads, and interview coaching
- Follow up to ensure a successful transition back to the work force
Job Analysis
- Analyze the essential job functions and required physical demands for a specific job
- If requested, the analysis can be cross-referenced with the individual's current medical restrictions to evaluate the individual's capacity to perform the essential job functions
Initial Evaluation
- In-person or telephonic evaluation to gather information regarding individual's medical history, education/training, work background, family/economic status, ADL's, outlook on returning to work, vocational goals, and hobbies/interests
- Identify assets and barriers and recommend appropriate ongoing vocational services
Retraining Research and Support
- Research suitable training programs within the individual's labor market
- Evaluate employment potential contingent upon completion of researched training programs
- Assist with program registration, assess performance, and provide the individual with ongoing support and guidance
